HISTORY

ALPAO is a spin-off company of the Université Joseph Fourier (Grenoble) and Floralis. In 2006 and 2008 ALPAO was rewarded by the French Ministry of Research for its innovative technology. Other partners include the Laboratoire d'Astrophysique de l’Observatoire de Grenoble, OSEO, ANR, Région Rhône-Alpes, Grenoble Alpes Incubation, the Reseau Entreprendre and UBIFrance.

Some key dates for ALPAO

• 2006 ALPAO introduces to the low speed deformable mirror.

• 2007 ALPAO introduces its own wavefront sensor for closed loop operations

• 2008 ALPAO introduces a brand new patented technology of deformable mirrors having increased strokes and optimal temporal response.

• 2009 ALPAO introduces a new drive electronics increasing the performances of
  magnetic deformable mirrors.
